They are collections of songs that I personally enjoy and believe those who follow my music will appreciate. In 2007, the Xerxes Complete DVD was released and it contained every single song I had ever made, which came out to about 420 songs or so. This one is now sold out and was only available as a physical DVD. In the Selected Works series I will try to pick out the best of them for you - and put them in a nice package. Do I really need a reason to post a few tunes? The only one I can think of is that they have to be good. Here are a couple of tunes I stumbled upon this week that made me smile :)

Greg Wilson comes to show the kids how it's done again with four edits taken from his Teenage Disco vaults. The man's credentials are undoubted, and increasingly relevant in a climate heating up with a feverish generation of nu-disco diggers. 'C'Mon (You Can Get It)' is based around a loop from Dusty Springfields 'Son Of A Preacher Man' with elements sliced out of Yello and Instant Funk. 'Doobie iN Your Funk' unties The Doobie Brothers and Curtis Mayfield with Visual, while 'Never Look Back' reimagines Silver Convention's 'Fly Robin Fly' and 'Booty Dance' splices a KC & The Sunshine Band groove for Wilson's own purposes. These originally intended as personal tools for his sets, but thankfully now a new wave of wigglers can join the fun. Quality.

This is an amazing collaboration with Idjut Boys and the norwegian producer Rune Lindbæk. I'm not really sure which genre to put this in, I suppose that is a good thing ;) There is definitely some disco, and some psychedelic parts in there but the main "base" of the album is relaxing electronica.
This is definitely worth a listen :)

I have been listening to this record these past days and thought I'd share it with you guys :)
Third Ear Audio is a collaboration between Celli Firmi (Earthling) and Nick Barber (Doof).
They make dub/lounge/chillout music, and this CD is a good one :) Song number two "Ethereality" is a real lounge tune with lots of dubby effects, song number four "Freak of nature" is one of my favourites. Lots of dub, nice bassline and awesome pads :)
The album is released on Dubmisson Records.

I Recently Discovered these great artists! They combine the east with the west, you have probably heard this a billion times before, but now I really mean it and the y do an amazing job!
This Dub version of "3 Cities" is wicked. Many of my favourite artists have contributed with remixes of the record. Great dub record you have to listen to :) I bet you want to travel after listening to this.

Herve have been mixing a whole new compilation of sweet ass party-music that has just been released on Cheap Thrills Records!
This compilation features a mixed cd and an un-mixed cd :)
It features artist like: Fake Blood, Jack Beats, His Majesty André Feat Bloody Beetroots and Herve. In my last mix I mixed some of this tunes and I'm still not sick of Fake Bloods - Fix Your Accent. I'll give you the video of the tune and some words from Herve himself here!

I bought a new single from juno the other day after I got a free voucher from Modus Records(Thanks!) Since I already know (And love) Abakusm I thought I'd check out "Cinnamon Chasers"
So anyway, I downloaded an EP/CD/Single (don't really know what I'd call this) from Cinnamon Chasers called "The Elements", which contains a couple of tunes I'm starting to like, it's kind of "housie", but got a cool thing going, really makes you smile :)

I was sitting here listening to some Dub and then it hit my mind; The new Liquid Stranger (Interchill Records) album is soon out (16th Of October) and I can't wait for it to be released. The new album is called "Intergalactic Slapstick" and I think it's gonna be a good one. If you haven't heard about Liquid Stranger I suggest you check out some of his work.

You could start of by listening to his debut album "The Invisible Conquest".

This is one of the records I've been listening to most the last month! It's simply amazing, plenty of funky, groovy disco! I think this is the greatest cd of it's kind this year :)

He plays live at Gnomelandia 09 and I wanted to share it with you guys.
There is not much in the set that differs from his cd's so it might be a little disappointing for some. But I still want to share it. I've been thinking about this for a while and now I've done it. I've "restarted" my blog and i'm now posting all the music i like and links.
